Tactical Vehicle Skills – Handgun

Do you know what you should do if you are attacked while inside of your car?  The best defense is to drive away as quickly as possible, but what if that is not possible?  What do you do then?  This course of instruction teaches the student how to fight from inside the car and fight your way out of the car so that you can take cover from incoming rounds.  The inside of a car is not where you want to be when the bullets are flying in your direction.  The interior of a car does not offer much protection from incoming rounds.

We will cover how to get out of your seat-belt and draw your weapon safely and quickly.  You will also learn how to shoot from inside the car to buy enough time for you to get out of that metal coffin.  You must exit and you must exit quickly, but you must also learn how to fight your way out, and fight your way to cover.

Do you know what is cover on your car and what is not cover?  Do you know how to use skip fire under the car to hit an assailant and bring him down?  Have you ever fired your carry gun with your carry ammo through the window of a car?  Do you have any idea what that round will do when it strikes the front windshield?  How about the side windows or the back window?

We will shoot through auto glass from inside a junk car that will be on the range.  We will also find out if the car doors will serve as cover or only as concealment.  This dynamic lethal force class will answer a lot of questions you have about being inside an automobile when the fight goes down.

This class is typically held on a Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  The student will be required to bring a handgun, holster, gun belt, and at least three magazines.  300 rounds of practice ammo and at least 10 rounds of carry ammo will be needed along with wrap around eye protection, hearing protection, a baseball cap, high neck shirt, and long pants.  It is also highly recommended that the student use knee pads.
