Holster Skills – Intermediate Handgun
This class is the next logical step in learning for graduates of the Basic Marksmanship & Gun Safety class. It will further help to improve upon the basic skills that they've already learned in the previous class. In this five hour class the basic students will learn how to draw a gun from a holster and how to safely holster the firearm while maintaining their focus on the potential threat area.
Students using a semi-auto pistol will also learn how to fix stoppages and how to make speed reloads. If the student is using a revolver they will learn how to load the gun after all of the rounds have been fired and how to load only one or two rounds in an emergency situation.
This class will revisit the basic skills but will primarily cover new intermediate skills that are necessary to prepare the student for more advanced training in future classes. This class is usually held on Saturdays and it goes from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Each student will need a handgun, holster, safety glasses, hearing protection, about 200 rounds of ammunition.
