Tactical Shotgun

The most devastating close quarters weapon on the planet is the 12 gauge shotgun. This is the home defense weapon of the Training Director, Guy Minnis. One press of the trigger and eight to nine 00 buckshot pellets are screaming toward the home invader at over 1,100 feet per second. The tactical shotgun is truly capable of one shot stops. Learn how to use this awesome weapon to its full potential.This is one of the most popular classes that we teach at HARD TARGET.  When the training dates are announced be sure to get signed up ASAP or you will miss out on this training.

In this dynamic five hour course of instruction the student will learn the combat stance, the combat mount, speed shooting, engaging multiple targets, speed reloads, tactical reloads, fixing stoppages, shooting from cover, shooting on the move, and much more.  We prefer that you attend this class with a Remington 870 pump shotgun or a Mossberg pump shotgun.  If you attend with any other make of shotgun, be sure you know how to operate it.

This class is usually held on Saturdays at Red Brush Rifle Range from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  The equipment needs for this class are a Remington or Mossberg pump shotgun, 100 rounds of #6 shot, 10 rounds of 00 Buckshot, and ten slugs.  The student will also be required to bring hearing protection and safety glasses.  A ball cap and a high neck shirt are always advisable to keep hot brass from landing behind your shooting glasses or going down your shirt.
