Basic AK47

The AK47 is the most prolific assault rifle in the world. Many of you own some kind of version of the infamous AK47. The AK rifle family is not pretty, but it is highly reliable and extremely deadly. The AK cartridge falls somewhere between a sub-machinegun cartridge and a full blown rifle cartridge. It is not as powerful as a .308 cartridge, nor is it as accurate as the .223 cartridge, but it is highly effective against human targets at close quarters battle distances and out to 300 yards.

AK’s are simple to use and ammo is still pretty cheap when compared to other calibers. If you own an AK47 style rifle and you would like to learn how to fight with this rifle, this is the class for you. The basic class teaches nomenclature, field stripping the weapon, cleaning and maintenance, and basic marksmanship skills. The AK class then goes into positional shooting, shooting from cover, shooting while on the move, speed reloads, tactical reloads, and fixing (the very rare) stoppages that might occur, and a lot more.

We also cover some of the more popular attachments that can be added to the AK47 weapon system such as, weapon mounted lights, lasers, and red dot sights. This class is usually held at Red Brush Rifle Range on a Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The equipment that is required is an AK47 rifle and at least two magazines (more is better), 300 rounds of ammo, hearing protection, eye protection, a ball cap, and high neck shirt.
