I took the Ditch Medicine class and it was excellent, not knowing the very same week I would use the very info I learned at that class to save the life of a good friend.

Every class I have taken with Guy has been well worth the time and expense. I never fail to come out of a class with new information about keeping safe. The Force on Force session really opens your eyes about how one would react in a threatening situation.  Lots of fun to shoot Guy with paint balls, too. During The Women Only Practice Sessions Guy takes time with each individual to teach and correct.  I have learned so much from him and will continue to enroll in his classes.

I have found Hard Target training to be very effective and definitely worth while. As law abiding citizens my wife and I took the seminar on Deadly Force Law so that we would better understand the legalities of owning and using a firearm. We were impressed with the vast amount of factual information presented.

Guy Minnis was our instructor and he presented information based on FBI data, outcomes of shooting related court cases, recognized shooting experts and his many years on the Evansville PD relating real-life deadly force situations. We gleaned so much from that first seminar we both signed up for some of Hard Target’s other courses like: Tactical Handgun, Tactical Shotgun and Low Light Force on Force Training.

Because of the training I received from Hard Target I am much more safe and competent with a firearm, better able to defend my family against a deadly encounter and I better understand the legal limitations of using a firearm. For those reasons I highly recommend Hard Target Training to those interested in their families’ safety and understanding how and when it is appropriate to use deadly force.

Your training is great!  I don’t have to keep coming back, but I do because I appreciate an instructor who will not BS me to make me happy.

I have taken Point Shooting, AVOPS I, AK-47, & one Force on Force class.  I learned several valuable things every time.  I have gotten valuable constructive criticism each time too.  Do I feel like I have gotten my money’s worth?  Hell – I feel like I am robbing you because your prices are so low!

Owning a firearm and not taking training seriously is probably the worst mistake you can make.  I find that Guy's comprehensive approach to understanding your weapon, the law, and every detail about proper technique is invaluable.  Practicing with a purpose, practicing with guidance, and being able to attend a variety of beginner to advanced tactical workshops is nothing short of necessary.

Guy takes his role as an educator and mentor very seriously and his experience shines through.  I'm grateful and better off for every opportunity I can spend with him.

Hi Guy, just wanted to write a small note about my experiences taking your classes.  They are a BLAST!!  I have taken the deadly force criminal law seminar 2 times, the women’s  gun safety and marksmanship class, and the force on force class.  I feel much more confident of my ability to walk away from a confrontation and be the victor, NOT the victim.

I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard as when we did the scenario roll playing in the force on force class.  What a testosterone rush!!  I learned so much that day and have put some of it to use already.  I have already signed up for the March 20 class for home defense and I can hardly wait until time.  Highly recommend Guy and his classes.

I have been a fan of Guy Minnis and Hard Target from the beginning.   My wife and I have attended almost all of his courses and seminars at least once, and some of them several times.   Guy has a common sense, practical, and down to earth method of teaching that makes his classes fun and entertaining as well as packed full with good information and training.  They are also a bargain. 

No matter what the level of training, his emphasis is ALWAYS on safety combined with improving knowledge and skills.  Pick any course you like, and at the end, you will be better than when you started.

I had the opportunity to train with Guy Minnis in May 2009. The class that I took was one that he customized for about 12 individuals. We all were at different levels of firearms knowledge and training. He was able to alter his directions as needed for all of us to clearly understand the information and training being presented. We all trained for conceal carry but at the basis of it all was to make sure that we all understood and respected the great responsibility that we have when using a firearm.
