LEO Tactical Handgun Skills

All law enforcement officers need an annual refresher course concerning their handgun skills.  This is not a basic marksmanship class, nor does this class prepare the student for a qualification course, this course is about fighting with the handgun.  In the real world environment, law enforcement officers carry a handgun to work every day.  Since the handgun is the LEO’s primary weapon system, it only makes good sense that every LEO should be as proficient as possible with that weapon.

This course covers the combat stance, the combat grip, speed shooting, multiple targets, speed reloads, tactical reloads, fixing stoppages, using cover, positional shooting, shooting on the move, moving targets, and much, more.  For those officers that carry backup weapons this course also covers the use of those weapons too.  Officers must be able to get the gun out of the holster quickly and be able to score debilitating hits on the intended target so as to stop the threat as fast as possible.

This is an 8-hour course of instruction designed to meet the challenges of LEO’s in all types of situations.  Our main purpose at HARD TARGET is to empower the officer with the knowledge and skills to stay safe on the mean streets.  We not only want our students to survive and win the lethal force confrontation, we want you to DOMINATE the encounter!
