Tactical Shotgun

The shotgun is a devastating CQB weapon system and it is very versatile.  It can be used as a breaching weapon for breaching doors, it can be used as a short range rifle with slugs, and it is the most awesome CQB weapon on the planet when loaded with 00 buckshot.  One press of the trigger and nine .33 caliber pellets go screaming at the intended target at over 1100 feet per second which makes this weapon system as close as you can come to a one shot stop weapon system.  The military armed forces use the Benelli M4, Remington 870 Tactical Desert Recon, and Mossberg 590 shotguns and all of these shotguns are welcome at this 8-hour block of training.

The military operator will learn some CQB techniques in the event of the enemy grabbing their weapon, and handgun transitions will be covered.  Students will learn the combat stance, the combat mount, speed shooting, engaging multiple targets, speed reloads, tactical reloads, using cover, positional shooting, shooting on the move, one-hand operation (disabled drills) both right and left hand, and much, much more.

The skills taught during this block of instruction are meant to help the operator survive the combat environment and get rounds on target quickly and accurately.  This is an eight hour training day and special rates for military personnel going to Iraq & Afghanistan are available.
